NFFE-IAM Members Attend AFL-CIO’s Inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Program
April 8, 2016
On March 13-16, 2016 fifty Union women from throughout the country gathered together in New York City for the AFL-CIO’s inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Program. The program brought together Union sisters from both the private and public sectors to learn about the global labor movement while advocating for gender equality and inclusive international development at the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women. REMINDER: Select Delegates for NFFE’s 50th National Convention
April 5, 2016
One of the most important aspects of NFFE’s 50th National Convention is the gathering of delegates from around the country to chart out the direction of the Union, in addition to electing our national officers, make changes to the union’s bylaws, and participate in discussions with some of the leading voices in labor and government. But before delegates can be assembled this September, Locals must undergo elections to select their delegates to convention. Each Local should first determine, via a vote at a regular meeting, prior to June 2016, how many people it intends to fund and send to the convention. (Full Story)
