REMINDER: 49th NFFE National Convention is Just Around the Corner

As summer comes to a close, we are now
less than one month away from the beginning of
the 49th NFFE National Convention.
Scheduled for October 1-4, 2012, the union’s
quadrennial Convention will take place at the
historic Benson Hotel in downtown Portland.
The NFFE National Convention is an
excellent opportunity for delegates from every
one of NFFE’s nearly 200 Locals to come
together and conduct the business of our union.
Convention participants elect our national
officers, make changes to the union’s bylaws,
and participate in discussions with some of the
leading voices in labor and government.
Time is running out, so locals are
encouraged to make their final
preparations to attend. Our
original block of rooms has been filled, but
rooms may also be booked at hotels in the
immediate vicinity of the Convention site.
