(a) I agree to abide by and be bound by the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Worker’s (IAMAW) Constitution and Bylaws of the National Federation of Federal Employees (“NFFE”) and any NFFE-IAM local of which I am a member, or become a member, as they may be amended.

(b) I understand that I may request a copy of the IAMAW Constitution or the NFFE Bylaws from NFFE. I further understand and agree that I have access to and may request a copy of my NFFE local’s bylaws.

(c) I agree that my membership is for a one-year term beginning on the date that I sign this form; and

(d) I agree that my membership is irrevocable during the one-year term and that my membership will automatically renew annually thereafter; and

Constitution and Bylaws

(e) I agree to pay my current membership dues; and

(f) I agree and understand that dues amounts may be adjusted periodically in accordance with the applicable Constitution of the IAMAW and Bylaws of NFFE or its affiliates; and

Cancellation

(g) I understand and agree that I may only revoke my membership in NFFE within the 30 days before the anniversary date of my annual membership (the “annual window period”) or when NFFE is notified that membership is no longer possible based on NFFE’s governing rules; and

(h) A NFFE Dues Cancellation form can be requested from cancelmydues@nffe.org. A completed NFFE Dues Cancellation form can be submitted to the same email address.

(i) I understand and agree that by cancelling my membership, I will lose all rights, benefits, and privileges of membership.

(j) I understand that NFFE will allow anyone who retires, resigns, gets laid off, or otherwise becomes unemployed to discontinue dues immediately.

(k) I understand that NFFE will allow anyone who is removed from their NFFE bargaining unit to discontinue dues immediately.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER AND CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION

Payment

(a) I authorize NFFE to deduct membership dues from my checking account, savings account, debit card, credit card, or other payment option in accordance with the agreed-upon electronic funds transfer(EFT), debit card, or credit card, or other payment option procedures and the terms of membership noted in this agreement, and further authorize NFFE-IAM to resubmit or retry any payment that is returned, rejected, or dishonored for any reason; and

(b) I authorize NFFE to deduct from my checking account or savings account, or charge my debit card, credit card, or other payment option an amount equal to the then current annual dues, fees and/or assessments required for membership in NFFE on a bi-weekly basis, subject to any adjustment; and

(c) I understand and agree that dues may be adjusted based on adjustments made by IAMAW, NFFE, or my NFFE local to their dues rates, and I authorize NFFE to adjust the amount deducted from my checking account or savings account, or charged to my debit card, credit card, or other payment option, by such amount; and

(d) I understand and agree that my authorization for EFT or credit card payments is in full force and effect until I cancel my NFFE membership or terminate this payment agreement by notifying NFFE in writing during the annual window period provided above.

Existing NFFE-IAM Members

(e) If NFFE receives an E-Dues payment and a payroll deduction payment from the agency for the same period, NFFE will reimburse the duplicate electronic dues payment.

Cancellation or Modification

(f) I agree and understand that my written notification of any change in account information must be received by NFFE by the 1st day of the month for EFT or credit card payments to be changed in any manner in that month.

Calculation of Dues

(g) I agree that the amount of my bi-weekly payment is my annual dues obligation, based on the current dues rates set by IAMAW, NFFE, and my local, divided by 26; and

(h) I agree that this authorization shall remain in full force and effect if I change NFFE locals during that 12-month period; and

(i) I further agree that if any such withdrawal is rejected, NFFE shall be under no liability to reimburse late charges or fees resulting from the withdrawal; and

(j) I authorize NFFE to charge my account a $12 ACH Return fee each time my financial institution, for any reason (insufficient funds, account frozen, etc.), rejects a payment I authorized under these terms and conditions, and I understand that ACH Return Fees are my responsibility and shall be paid promptly to NFFE upon notice. Such fees that are strictly due to proven bank error may be forgiven at the discretion of NFFE; and

(k) I also agree and understand that notwithstanding any termination of EFT or credit card authorization, I continue to be responsible for membership dues, fees and/or assessments subject to the terms and conditions listed above; and

(l) I acknowledge and agree that NFFE may share information about my account and my payment status with my NFFE local in connection with dues and account administration, provided; and

(m) I understand that NFFE may share my contact information or payment status with our affiliated labor organizations such as IAMAW and AFL-CIO or NFFE-affiliated vendors that require proof of union membership to access benefits, however, NFFE will not share any financial information or information about my payment status with third parties for commercial or political purposes unrelated to dues and account administration; and

(n) I understand that dues payments to NFFE and its affiliates are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes. However, they may be deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and/or our state income tax law; and

(o) I acknowledge and understand that NFFE does not provide tax advice and it is my responsibility to consult a tax professional for advice in this regard.

UNDERSTANDING

I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this membership application, including all of the terms and conditions listed above. I have not been subject to any duress, intimidation, threats or coercion in the execution of this application.
