As families around the country rush to finish last-minute college applications during the holiday season, do not forget about the countless scholarship opportunities available to NFFE-IAM members and their children/spouses.

Most directly, NFFE-IAM members and their families can apply for a scholarship from the IAM for awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. The three scholarship categories are: Do not miss out on the scholarship opportunities available to NFFE-IAM members and their families for a bachelor’s degree, children of an IAM member seeking to attend a vocational or technical school for an associate’s degree or trade specialization, and for IAM members seeking to attend a college/university or vocational/technical school. For further details on the IAM scholarship competition, click here. Note, the deadline to apply for a 2015 IAM Scholarship Award is less than one week away. Scholarship applications are due February 27, 2015.

Another scholarship available is the 2015 Union Plus Scholarship. Scholarships are from $500 to $4,000 and do not require repayment. Since 1992, some 2,400 families have benefited from the Union Plus Scholarship Program, which has awarded union members and their children more than $3.6 million to help make higher education affordable.
