In just over two weeks, elected delegates from NFFE Locals across the country will descend on sunny Lake Buena Vista, Fla. for NFFE’s 50th National Convention. Delegates will receive training from highly experienced federal labor relations specialists, review the bylaws that will direct our work for the next four years, and elect the officials who will lead our union into the future. A lot of planning goes into executing a successful convention, and NFFE National Staff have been eagerly preparing for the quadrennial gathering of NFFE-IAM members.

Last month, NFFE published the list of proposed bylaw amendments and resolutions. And with all Councils and Locals having submitted the appropriate information, NFFE is able to release the tentative list of delegates attending this year’s convention. These delegates will determine the direction NFFE takes in the coming years by reviewing governing documents and electing the future national leadership of NFFE. Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to vote for a National President, National Secretary-Treasurer and seven at-large National Vice Presidents. The list of candidates can be found here. These offices are charged with overseeing the daily operations of the NFFE National Office and conducting yearly strategic reviews of the organization, in addition to various other organizational leadership responsibilities.

Registration will open on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 1 P.M. to 7 P.M. Registration will re-open at 7 A.M. on Monday, September 26, 2016 and close at 9:15 AM. The registration fee is $75 per delegate in attendance. Guest fees will be $50 for guests age 12 and above who plan on attending convention events. Checks/money orders are to be made payable to National Federation of Federal Employees FD-1. For more information, be sure to visit the 50th National Convention page on NFFE’s website, here.

NFFE convention delegates will vote on NFFE’s national officers later this month
