National President Dougan joined In Depth with Francis Rose on Federal News Radio earlier this week to discuss the serious retirement cuts being considered in Congress this week.

Among the cuts proposed in the bill (H.R. 3813) are a 1.5% increase in the amount current employees pay toward their pensions, in addition to the creation of a new tier of the federal retirement system for new hires called “Secure Annuity Employees,” who would receive 36% less benefits than employees enrolled in FERS.
