Wear Red to Support Federal Employees (#RedForFeds) on Wednesday, July 25th!
Monday, July 23, 2018
This Wednesday, July 25th, federal employees across the country are asked to wear red in a nation-wide act of solidarity. Federal workers are standing up for their rights, including the right to quality representation, due process, and a meaningful voice in the workplace.
The #RedForFeds event is in response to three Executive Orders signed by President Trump in May that target the voice of federal employees and the strength of federal union members by directing agencies to supersede existing laws that govern federal labor-management relations.
In addition to the wearing red, federal employee unions will rally outside of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia shortly before oral arguments scheduled for later Wednesday, in support of the NFFE, IAM, and other unions’ lawsuit against the White House.
D.C. Area Rally Information:
When: Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 2 PM
Where: John Marshall Park, 333 Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington D.C.
Important Note: Do not use government equipment to take the photos of this or any #RedForFeds event, or engage on government property, or while in uniform, or on work time, or with agency identification visible.
