If you are a federal employee:

1) Sign up to be a NFFE-IAM member using NFFE E-Dues

If you are NOT a federal employee: Download and complete an IAM Membership form.

If you have any questions or are unsure of which form to fill out please contact NFFE-IAM Headquarters at (202) 216-4420.

NOT SURE IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN A NFFE-IAM LOCAL?

Look at your SF-50 block 37 labeled “BUS CODE”: This unique four-digit number identifies if you are in a bargaining unit, and which one you belong to. You may not recognize the number, but your employee relations office can tell you which Union you are represented by.

If block 37 is 8888 you are not eligible to belong to a Union. This code identifies managers and employees determined by the FLRA to be ineligible due to the nature of the work they perform.

If block 37 is 7777 you are eligible to belong to a Union. You are currently not part of a bargaining unit; even if there is a Union in your place of work.
