Last year, GEO employees at Robert A. Deyton Detention Facility in Lovejoy, Georgia ratified a collective bargaining agreement to establish the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) as their union representative. The local's supplemental agreement included a four percent pay raise for all employees, including a $10 hourly wage increase for some of the nurses at the facility.

The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) is pleased to announce that 2021 was one of the very best organizing years for our union in the past several decades, achieving 6.3% net growth in the twelve-month period ending in December of last year. Further, with the membership gains from 2021 NFFE has fully recovered from membership losses that were suffered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
