July 1, 2022
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On this day 246 years ago, our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence, forming a new nation that would become the United States of America. Today, we celebrate the birth of our great nation and the freedoms our country provides for us all. For this freedom, we thank our military heroes of the past and present.
Our union has made great strides securing fair compensation for workers, advocating for workplace rights, and bringing justice to those who try to restrict the freedoms we have worked so hard to obtain. Members of this union from decades past have championed labor rights for over a century, and together we continue this good fight today.
This nation was founded on the ideals of liberty, equality, and opportunity for every citizen of our great democracy. It is important that we preserve our democracy and fight for the ideals upon which this nation was founded. In the face of political uncertainty, we must use our collective voices to advocate for that in which we believe. Together, we can ensure that we all have the same rights, freedoms, and liberties.
From my family to yours, I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe 4th of July.
In Solidarity,
Randy Erwin
NFFE National President
