Dear NFFE Sisters and Brothers,
This weekend, we honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. It is because of the selflessness of those in our nation’s military that we can enjoy all of the things we love about America this weekend. I encourage you to reflect, mourn, and honor those who have lost their lives in military service, protecting our way of life and American democracy.
NFFE is proud to represent workers who maintain U.S. military readiness at the Department of Defense, as well as those at the Department of Veterans Affairs who have the critical responsibility of caring for our men and women in uniform when they leave military service. Through our partnership with the IAM, your union offers important services for NFFE-IAM Veterans and their families. Earlier this year, NFFE-IAM members who served in the armed forces, both past and present, were honored with the dedication of the IAM Veterans Monument.
This Memorial Day – and every day – we remember those who have given their lives for our freedoms.
