NFFE-IAM Sisters and Brothers,
I am reaching out to encourage you to sign up for two critical upcoming training programs at the William W. Winpisinger Center, the Machinists Union’s world-class union training campus in southern Maryland.
The Forest Service Council’s Intermediate Steward Training program will be held March 3rd to March 8th, 2024. This program is designed for Forest Service employees who have have already attended federal basic or FSC basic training to advance their union knowledge and skills to improve the effectiveness of their Forest Service local.
The Federal Employees Collective Bargaining program will be held March 10th to March 15th, 2024. This program focuses on preparing for and the process of collective bargaining under the Federal Labor Relations Act. It is important that every NFFE local has leaders who are trained to bargain with management.
There are a several spots open for each class and I hope you consider enrolling in the program that best applies to you. If we do not have enough participants, the classes are at risk of being canceled.
