NFFE National President William R. Dougan will be the sole Labor representative testifying before the House Federal Workforce Subcommittee at Thursday’s hearing on “Rightsizing the Federal Workforce.” Dougan will defend the scope and mission of the federal workforce as House Republicans Cynthia Loomis (R-WY) and Thomas Marino (R-PA) advocate for their proposals to hire one federal worker for every two who retire and place a freeze on federal hiring, respectively.
The hearing will take place on Thursday, May 26 from 9:30a.m.-11:30a.m. in Room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill. Video from the hearing will be streamed on the committee’s website, www.oversight.house.gov.
