The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) is celebrating another organizing victory, as National Park Service (NPS) workers at the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park have voted to unionize with NFFE.

The Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, located in Dayton, Ohio, commemorates three important historical figures – Wilbur Wright, Orville Wright, and poet Paul Laurence Dunbar – and their work in the Miami Valley.

The park includes the Paul Laurence Dunbar house, the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, the Wright Cycle Shop, the Carillon Historical Park, the Huffman Prairie Interpretive Center, and the Huffman Prairie Flying Field. Represented employees work as interpretive rangers and staff to guide and inform visitors.

“NFFE is proud to welcome the employees from this historic park,” said NFFE National President Randy Erwin. “These workers play a vital role in preserving one of the most important stories in American innovation, and today they’ve made clear that the people who promote that legacy deserve a strong voice on the job. By voting to join NFFE together, they’ve taken an important step toward securing the respect, fairness, and protections every worker deserves.”
