Register Now for the Next Communicator’s Class at the IAMAW’s William W. Winpisinger Center

This is the official announcement of the IAM’s Communicator class to be held December 9-14, 2012, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center at Placid harbor in Hollywood, MD.

Offered by the IAM Communications Department, this basic course is geared toward lodge Communicators who are not publishing newsletters or websites. The course is designed to upgrade their skills and take their lodge communications to the next level by providing instruction in: news writing, internet research, desktop publishing, and webpage creation using the IAM microsite service.

Requirements for the course are as follows:

1. Participants must be the Communicator for their Local lodge.
2. Participants must have either personal or lodge access to the internet and email capability.

Because this course is designed for the entry-level Communicator, priority will be given to participants who have not attended previous Communications Department courses at the Winpisinger Center, such as Basic Newsletter or Web Development.

Registration forms must be received in the IAM Communications Department no later than Friday, October 12, 2012, and must include the Lodge Officer’s signature and Lodge Seal. Applicants will be notified by mail and/or email.
