Earlier this month, representatives from NFFE’s National Office traveled to Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Fla. to make final arrangements for NFFE’s 50th National Convention this September. This visit to the convention site served as the opportunity to make any major adjustments ahead of Local delegates arriving later this fall. Representatives met with hotel staff in regards to catering, audio/visual considerations and event layout.

Delegates in attendance of this year’s Convention will be pleasantly surprised by the flexibilities offered by the host hotel, as well as the countless amenities and amusement park offerings directly surrounding the Buena Vista Palace Hotel (owned and operated by Hilton, so eligible attendees will be able to utilize their HHonors Rewards Program). If you are interested in becoming a delegate to the NFFE Convention, be sure your Local is following this guide in selecting delegates..

Leading the way on much of the planning process is Assistant to the President Jai Atkins and National Business Representative Amy Burns.

Following the convention site walk-through, Atkins said, “When considering an event of the magnitude of the National Convention, you want to eliminate as many obstacles as possible that could prevent your delegates from tending to the business at hand. Something as simple as being able to register, meet, break and reconvene in the same general area is a welcomed occurrence, from prior conversations I’ve had.”
