NFFE’s 52nd Convention is quickly approaching, and locals throughout the country will begin making preparations to attend very soon! Held once every four years, conventions are a chance for local leaders to come together and plan our union’s future. This year’s convention will be held in the union-friendly town of Minneapolis, Minnesota from September 16-19, 2024.
The first step in preparing to attend is ensuring your local has received its convention call in the mail. All of the documents your local will need to prepare for convention were sent out the last week of February. They include the convention call, instructions on how to elect delegates, and forms to submit bylaw amendments and resolutions. If you have not received your packet in the mail yet, please contact nffeconvention2024@nffe.org.
Please note that since sending the convention call, the hotel NFFE has contracted with to host our convention proceedings was acquired by the Hilton Group. The Loews Hotel is now called The Lofton Hotel and is located at 601 N 1st Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

May 1, 2024: Nominations for National Office due
May 2024: Let your members know at your monthly meeting that you will be electing delegates to the National Convention at the next meeting
June 1, 2024: Acceptance of nominations for National Office due
June 2024: Nominate convention delegates and alternates at your local lodge meeting
July 2024: Elect convention delegates and alternates at your local lodge meeting; election results should be in meeting minutes
July 18, 2024: Proposals to amend bylaws and resolutions due
August 16, 2024: Complete and mail delegate credentials
August 29, 2024: Deadline to book at convention hotel at government rate ($148)
