The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) recently sent 23 wildland firefighters to Capitol Hill. The members spent the last two weeks lobbying for the Wildland Firefighter Paycheck Protection Act (H.R. 6159) to boost woefully low pay rates for the essential workers who battle wildfires from coast to coast.
