Washington, D.C. – Today, the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) applauds President Biden’s nomination of Julie Su as the next Secretary of the Department of Labor.

“I am fully confident in Julie Su to lead the Department of Labor,” said NFFE National President Randy Erwin. “Su brings with her a long career of advocating for working people. In her role alongside Marty Walsh as Deputy Secretary, she has proven her commitment to empowering federal employees and workers across the country. Su’s prior experience as a civil rights attorney and California Labor Commissioner indicates she understands the needs of American workers.”

“President Biden is continuing to prove he is the most pro-union, pro-worker President we have seen in decades,” continued Erwin. “We thank President Biden for nominating a Julie Su to lead the Labor Department. Our union appreciates the White House’s commitment to supporting unions and protecting the rights of all working Americans. NFFE urges the U.S. Senate to swiftly confirm Julie Su as the next Secretary of Labor.”
