Dear Sisters and Brothers,
On Veterans Day we celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans. These heroes deserve our deepest gratitude, and today we reflect on their sacrifices, bravery, and commitment to making this country a safe and strong beacon of American ideals.
It gives me great pride to know that thousands of NFFE-IAM members are veterans. At NFFE, we are dedicated to promoting the best interests of our members, both as federal employees and as veterans. We fight for veterans preference, we fight for adequate funding for veterans’ care, we fight for the staffing necessary to provide veterans with the outstanding care they deserve, and more.
This year, through our affiliation with the International Association of Machinists, we are proud to offer NFFE-IAM members a new Veteran’s Services Program. This program has helped many veteran members of our union to understand and apply for earned benefits to which they are entitled as veterans. We are honored to have this service available to all NFFE-IAM veterans.
NFFE is also particularly honored to represent employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs, who provide exceptional medical care for our nation’s veterans. We understand the tremendous importance of America keeping its promise to provide for the health and wellness of those who served in uniform. We thank our members at the Department of Veterans Affairs for delivering on that promise every single day.
