Dear NFFE-IAM Correctional Officers and Employees,

Since 1984, the first full week of May has served as National Correctional Officer and Employee Appreciation week. I am writing today to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for your unwavering dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and security of your communities.

Every day you demonstrate remarkable courage and professionalism in the face of challenging circumstances. Your tireless efforts to maintain order, uphold regulations, and provide support to those who are detained do not go unnoticed.

Your resilience and strength in the line of duty serves as an inspiration to us all. Your willingness to go above and beyond your duties to ensure the welfare of both staff and inmates is commendable. Your compassion and empathy towards those under your care reflect the values of integrity and humanity that are integral to your communities.

I also want to personally thank you for your commitment to our union and for the valuable contributions you have made to our collective efforts. Your dedication and solidarity are a testament to strength and unity of our union.

On behalf of the National Federation of Federal Employees and the 110,000 workers we represent nationwide, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Your service is invaluable to our country. We are truly fortunate to have such exceptional correctional officers and employees as part of our great union.

Thank you for all you do every day!

In Solidarity,
