New NFFE Membership Benefit

Washington, D.C. – The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) is pleased to announce a new agreement with attorney Alan J. Shapiro to provide NFFE members with highly qualified legal representation for federal workers’ compensation claims and advice.  Mr. Shapiro is a nationwide practitioner of federal workers’ compensation law with more than 50 years of experience representing federal employees.  Mr. Shapiro and his sons, Geoffrey and Daniel created the law firm Shapiro, Shapiro and Shapiro which was originally founded many decades ago by Mr. Shapiro’s father, also a federal workers’ compensation attorney.
 
In 2016, Mr. Shapiro and his firm was listed as one of the Nation’s Best Law Firms by U.S. News and World Report, and has been listed since 1995 as Best Lawyers for Workers’ Compensation Law.  In addition, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America ® in 2013, and he is a member of the Worker’s Injury Law and Advocacy Group.  Mr. Shapiro is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.

  • 25% discount on legal services
  • No retainer for legal fees 
  • No legal fees collected until a recovery is made
  • A cap of 20% of the award/compensation recovered
