The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) is proud to support an important and timely resource for the federal scientific community aimed at keeping political ideologues at bay when it comes to revising or suppressing scientific activity and findings.
The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) has launched the Science Protection Project, a hotline for federal employees and allies to report any incidents that may diminish the role of science in federal decision-making. The Project is designed to provide confidential advice for federal employees to report any incidents—large or small—that may negatively affect the role of science in federal decision-making and policy.
The Science Protection Project connects federal employees with attorneys who have extensive federal government experience for confidential information intake and advice. They want to hear about any action, large or small, so they can evaluate, expose, and correct any political interference in science or erosion of federal scientific capacity.
