Across the country, the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) is celebrating National Nurses Week, which begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday.
NFFE is proud to represent thousands of nurses who work at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Indian Health Service (IHS). These dedicated professionals care for our nation’s veterans, active military, and our diverse native populations every day, providing an invaluable service to the American people.
National Nurses Week gives us a chance to recognize our sister and brother nurses who devote their lives to keeping their patients healthy and cared-for. NFFE nurses help provide their patients with the highest level of care found anywhere in the world, a fact that brings immeasurable pride to the members of this union.
NFFE nurses make a difference in the lives of their patients and their communities each and every day. On behalf of NFFE-IAM members across the country, we want to express our sincere appreciation to our sisters and brothers working as nurses at VA, DoD, and IHS, and to all nursing professionals throughout this great nation.
Thank you, nurses, for all you do!
Sincerely,
Randy L. Erwin
