Through recent discussions with the IAM, NFFE is proud to announce that it will now represent approximately 450 new members working in various law enforcement capacities throughout the Mid-Atlantic States.

The majority of the members are prison guards who work at the District of Columbia Correctional Treatment Facility (DCCTF) here in Washington, D.C. The remainder works at the Elizabeth Detention Facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey, as well as local police forces throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

NFFE would also like to welcome Roosevelt Littlejohn, an experienced Business Representative who has spent years organizing and representing service contract Locals. Littlejohn will be servicing these new units as well as various other Locals in the Capitol region. He will be a key asset going forward as NFFE begins to organize new service contract units throughout the country.

Littlejohn brings with him over 20 years of labor relations experience. A former prison guard at the DCCTF, he formed his own union in 1987, which later became an affiliate of the IAMAW. In 2005, Littlejohn was hired on as a business representative by IAM District 98, serving Locals throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Littlejohn, originally from Washington, DC, now resides in Hyattsville, Maryland.
