Right now on Capitol Hill, House and Senate lawmakers are negotiating a budget deal to fund the federal government through the end of Fiscal Year 2014. Inexplicably, some lawmakers are targeting federal workers once again to cut billions from their pay and pensions.

Call your U.S. House Representative and both of your U.S. Senators today and tell them to oppose any further targeted cuts to federal workers as part of a budget deal. The Capitol Switchboard phone number is 202-224-3121.

When contacting lawmakers, be sure to do so as a constituent, on your own time, using your own phone.

Federal employees have already sacrificed $113 billion toward deficit reduction (over $50,000 per federal worker) in the last three years, and that doesn’t even include lost wages from furloughs or account for the frustration associated with the government shutdown. Federal workers have been through enough already. Make sure your lawmakers in Washington know they can’t make federal employees endure targeted cuts once again.

Again, the Capitol Switchboard phone number is 202-224-3121.
