Earlier this year, NFFE-IAM National Headquarters hosted its annual organizing awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The ceremony—held annually during the week of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) legislative conference—honored NFFE locals that have achieved outstanding membership growth and retention in 2018.
Each month, NFFE-IAM recognizes the organizing efforts of local lodges via email announcement and also sends a framed award to winning locals for display. In addition, once a year NFFE-IAM gives top honors to the locals that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in the quest for membership growth and achieved significant growth as a result. A limited number of awards are given in each of the three categories: Number of New Members, Percentage of Membership Growth, and Maintaining At Least Fifty Percent Membership Density in a calendar year.
NFFE-IAM is proud to honor again our 2018 winners! The NFFE locals who received 2018 Organizing Excellence Awards are:
