Today, NFFE joins all Americans in the mourning of the loss of Congressman John Lewis. “The Conscience of the Congress” will be missed.
While alive, he stood as the embodiment of compassion, justice and courage. In Death he will serve as an inspiration for us all. He believed in a great and just society and refused to let us remain mired in the failure of hate that has for too long held back our country.
We all owe a debt to this man and must always remember his example.
